PANOPTIC KITE 

This project examines surveillance from the perspective of power and panoptic prison structures. The final product is a kite that resembles a floating, omnipotent eye, symbolizing the control that surveillance has over the public. The kite features the names of world leaders and quotes related to their respective countries' laws on surveillance. The purpose of the project is to inform viewers of the varying viewpoints on surveillance laws and to encourage them to reconnect with nature, away from technology and surveillance cameras. The kite serves both as a conceptual representation of power and a practical tool for achieving freedom.
